Overview

Noisy Discord is a meeting following Silent Concord. There are no limitations on Noisy Discord activities other than the personal preferences of the participants. Some example activities:

• Discussing Silent Concord practices
• Informal conversation with coffee and pastries
• Sharing cares and concerns
• Sharing insights obtained during Silent Concord
• Seminars on topics of interest to participants
• Presentation by an invited speaker
• Music

Silent Concord is the primary vehicle for community building; Noisy Discord is a secondary vehicle. The unifying silence of Silent Concord always supersedes the sometimes divisive 'noise' of Noisy Discord.

You are likely to disagree - sometimes strongly - with the opinions and tastes expressed by other participants in your Noisy Discord. You should not allow these disagreements to affect your willingness to engage in Silent Concord with these participants. Noisy Discord should be used to build community, not destroy it.

As in an actual Noisy Discord, you can disagree with any or all of the opinions expressed in the discussions below and still engage in Silent Concord.
